March 2013
Break-In
You may be aware from the local press and/or other sources that the shop was broken into at about 12.40 AM on Monday 4th February. The Police were informed, visited the scene and followed their usual procedures, including taking away with them CCTV images, some of which appeared in the Wilts & Glos Standard. At the time of going to press the Police are continuing with their enquiries, and they request that anyone with information call Gloucestershire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
All the volunteers and the committee freely give their time and expertise to run the shop for the local community. The break-in caused considerable damage and inconvenience to everyone, particularly our customers, and the perpetrators demonstrated a complete disregard of the feelings and efforts of everyone associated with the shop. Due to special efforts only minimal interruption to normal trading occurred and we returned to normal operations on the Tuesday morning.
Mothering Sunday
Mothering Sunday is on March 10. We have a selection of hand made cards for the occasion together with a gift of a ‘guest soap’. Prices start at a very competitive £1.25.
